The Assyrian Aid Society of America celebrated the 2nd Annual Mesopotamian Night -Chicago on October 10, 2015, at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, IL
Festivities began with a cocktail reception, and mingle hour, followed immediately by the concert.
The performances featured renowned Assyrian vocalists Albert Oscar, Ogin bet Samo, and Rachel Sarah Thomas. Several new talents such as Vian, Sargon Avadis, Isabelle Ishtar and Tatiana Haughton were also featured in the program.
Mesopotamian Night Chicago Band under the direction of Tiglat Issaby was backed by Highland Park Strings ensemble. Special performances by violinist David Yonan and Pianist Rasson bet Yonan were also included in the program.
An extensive arts featuring famous Chicago sculptors and painters as well as out of town artists, were auctioned following the intermission.
For the finale, the audience were treated to a colorful children performance accompanying Isabelle Ishtar’s last performance.
